W3C Community Group: Natural Language Interfaces on the Web of Data

Aim

The goal of this meet-up is to discuss the charter and first milestone of the W3C community group for Natural Language Interfaces on the Web of Data. Especially, we want to collect requirements towards test, benchmarks, data and APIs as well as brainstorm about reusability of existing approaches. 13:45 - 14:00 Ricardo Interactive construction of the meeting outline using the contributions of the community w.r.t. benchmarking, best practices, interfaces.
14:00 - 15:00 Community Presentation of contributions.
15:00 - 15:30 Coffee Break
15:30 - 16:30 Community Groups Group-wise drafting of refined goals for the W3C based on the community contributions.
16:30 - 17:00 Community Groups Presentation of drafts to the others.

Audience

Experts who want to speed-up the development of human-machine interfaces. Beginners who want to get to know the community as well as existing technologies. The meeting protocol will eventually lead to first drafts for the documents describing common benchmarks, requirements and test methods and suites for NLIWoD.

Intended outcome

First experience with web-search interfaces processing natural language.
